1:1 is an accessible method to create photograms whilst playing with transparency and the influence of light. The method limits a designer to a 1:1 scale and therefore requires time and craftmanship. Besides, the outcome will always be unexpected and shows the characteristics and textures of the composition that is being made.
The method provides a publication including five demonstration booklets that show how photograms can be applicable within the field of graphic design. Hereby the terms contrast, typography, scale, graphic and texture are used. Obviously these categories can be intertwined, because a design can include multiple terms. But by categorizing the photograms this way, people will have an idea of what can be possible or done differently.
